Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, Mohammed Magin, has expressed his frustration following his side’s 1-1 draw against Lobi Stars in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Sunday.

The Ikon Allah Boys were unable to secure a victory against their Makurdi-based rivals in Minna, despite putting in a solid performance.

Niger Tornadoes dominated large parts of the game but were unable to capitalize on their chances, leaving Magin visibly disappointed with the result.

“We played very well, especially in the first half,” Magin said.

“We had our chances, but unfortunately, we couldn’t convert them. This is something we’ve been working on during training sessions, but translating that into match situations remains an issue.”

Despite holding Lobi Stars to a draw, Magin feels his team deserved all three points and believes they will turn things around soon.

“With this point, I am short of words,” he said. “We are playing at home, with a capacity crowd always cheering us on, and we are all looking for a victory. It’s frustrating when you don’t deliver, but we will keep working until we get it right, especially here at home.”

The result leaves Niger Tornadoes still searching for a breakthrough, as they continue to struggle to convert their chances into wins.

Looking ahead, the team will face a tough challenge on Wednesday when they travel to Aba to take on Enyimba in Matchday Seven of the NPFL.

“We will continue to work hard,” Magin added. “Enyimba will be a difficult match, but we are confident that we can turn the table anytime soon.”

Niger Tornadoes will be hoping to bounce back from the draw and secure their first win of the season when they meet Enyimba in Aba.
