NPFL: Plateau United a ‘work in progress’ despite win over Enyimba – Adegun

By Wale Mustapha

Plateau United Technical Adviser, Oluwasola Adegun, has described his team as a “work in progress” despite their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Enyimba FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Peace Boys dominated proceedings in Jos on Sunday, creating several scoring opportunities, but were unable to extend their lead beyond two goals.

Adegun, while pleased with the result, stressed that there is still room for improvement, particularly in converting chances and performing consistently in away matches.

“You’ll notice we were a little bit behind and we didn’t convert some good chances, but overall, we are happy with the performance,” Adegun told Plateau United’s media team.

“We are working towards improving our performance in away games. The last away match against Niger Tornadoes was our worst performance of the season.

“We will take encouragement from the win here in Jos to ensure that we can change things. We have players that can maximise opportunities for us in games.”

Plateau United will travel to Yenagoa this weekend to face Bayelsa United, looking to build on their positive momentum.
