NPFL: Rivers United bolster squad with Ghanaian striker from City FC

Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Rivers United have secured the services of Ghanaian forward, Mohammed Shiraz from City FC of Abuja.
Shiraz arrived Port Harcourt from the Nigeria National League, NNL side in a bid to add more strength to firepower of the defending champions ahead of league resumption.
The arrival of Shiraz, a prolific attacker has increased the number of Ghanaians at the club to four following the presence of Seidu Mutawakilu, Emmanuel Ampiah and Paul Acquah as key members of the Pride of Rivers squad.
Shiraz’s arrival will add more bite to Rivers United’s attack that already boasted of some of the best legs in the country.
Stanley Egunma-led side will take on Enugu Rangers in a rescheduled NPFL Week Eight encounter on Wednesday.
