NPFL: Rivers United to unveil George Finidi as new Technical Adviser on Thursday

Former Head Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, George Finidi will be unveiled as new Technical Adviser of Rivers United on Thursday in Port Harcourt, Nigeriafootball.ng reports.
Finidi will become the substantive technical head of the club after the exit of their long serving Stanley Eguma toward the end of last Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
The unveiling ceremony will hold at Rivers United’s secretariat in Port Harcourt.
Finidi is returning to the dugout few weeks after quitting his position as Super Eagles head coach.
The former Ajax winger managed nine-time NPFL champions, Enyimba for three years before moving up to coach the Super Eagles.
Finidi masterminded Enyimba’s title success in the 2022/23 NPFL season.
Rivers United finished in a disappointing eighth position in the NPFL last term.
