By Wale Mustapha
Remo Stars forward, Sikiru Alimi has assured fans of the club of more impressive outings ensure they achieve season’s target of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Alimi scored the only goal that earned the Sky Blues Stars 1-0 win over Plateau United in the Matchday 11 clash on Sunday in Ikenne.
The slim win was enough to send Remo Stars to top of the league which was part of club’s target for the campaign.
An elated Alimi admitted that the team could have more with more margins but retained hope of their quality to fight for the title.
“It was a hard-fought victory. I want to appreciate my teammates and the technical crew,”
“We did our utmost best coming into this game. I’m very happy with the team’s spirit. We can do better and I think we have been doing it and can go all the way.
“I want them (fans) to keep supporting us and with their support we can do more.”
Remo Stars will be guest to Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday for the Matchday 12 of the league.
