NPFL Super Six: Monday Odigie untroubled by frustration after Insurance third draw
By Wale Mustapha
Head Coach of Bendel Insurance, Monday Odigie has refused to see his side’s unconvincing recent run of recording draw as major concern at the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoff in Lagos.
Divine Nwachukwu canceled out an early goal from Sadiq Abuabakar to extend Insurance unbeaten to 21 in the league with 23 draws and eight wins as the Benin Arsenals settled for 1-1 draw with Enyimba on Wednesday.
The Benin based outfit tactician insists his side’s were the better side just as he vowed present a more formidable side in their next duel with Rivers United.
“This is not what we expected, we came out to win, but we still need to thank God it wasn’t a defeat, so we move on from here and hope to be better in the next game,” Odigie told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“I’m not worried it (about the results), this is a young team that’s growing.  Its just painful they are not converting the chances, not that they aren’t any, but we need see how to help the recover on time, rest and work on how to adjust ahead of the next game.”
Insurance have now garnered three points from three games and will next take on Rivers United on Friday.
