NSF 2022: FCT FA commitment already yielding results, boasts Mouktar Mohammed

As the 21st National Sports Festival enters Day 6, Team FCT are aiming to get its first gold medal thanks to the commitment and resilience of the FCT FA board led by Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed after reaching the final.
Team FCT football defeated Team Lagos by 2-1 in the first semifinals at the Ogwashi-Ukwu stadium on Monday as they await their opponent in the final between Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom.
The Abuja Team has recorded nine medals (3 Silvers and 6 Bronzes) but yet to lay a hand on Gold medal. This could finally change if they managed to win their final match which will come up on Wednesday, which will mean that the FA effort is beginning to yield positive results.
While speaking to the media, Mouktar expressed his excitement over the team’s feat as he showered encomium on the coaches, technical crew and the FCT Sports Council for all their support to the FA and the players.
“I am particularly excited for them as they have worked so hard to be here in spite of the challenges they faced. The coaches, technical crew deserve some accolades. They were there to make sure everything goes smoothly at all costs. Thats the spirit,” he said.
“The Director of Sports FCT isn’t left out of this praise as he has worked tirelessly to make sure they and all other athletes are well taken care of despite the paucity of funds due to economic challenges faced in the country,” he concluded.
Once a year, athletes from across the nation converge in one state to participate in the National Sports Festival, and the FA has promised to continue with its football project im order to nurture more talents.
