Papa Soccer Angels boss, Pastor Odunlami Akinsola, is focused on the upcoming crucial fixture against Unification Ladies.

The Epe-based side currently has three points from three games, with their sole victory coming against Chosen Generation.

Akinsola acknowledged that a lack of concentration was a key factor in their recent 2-1 defeat to Delta Babes. Reflecting on the competition, he praised the NWFL Championship for its positive impact on his team’s development and play style.

“Well, we did well in our last match but today’s match, they lost concentration and we conceded another goal that made it 2-1,” Akinsola told nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.

He further noted, “I’ve learned so much in this tournament. What I’ve learned is that the NWFL Championship is not like the Nationwide or grassroots competition that we play and think we know how to play football.”

As Papa Soccer Angels prepares for their final group game against Unification Ladies, Akinsola urged his players and technical crew to be well-prepared.

“We will go back and do our work right. I want to win my next game and I will encourage my players and the coaching crew to do their job very well. So if we can win or draw the next game, then we remain in the Championship,” he emphasized.

The team’s focus and preparation will be key as they aim to secure a favorable result in their final group match and maintain their position in the NWFL Championship.
