Parading array of very young players, Linus hailed his players for giving their best despite coming up against stronger opponent, revealing how he scouted the players from villages and the NWFL Championship in Calabar is their first competitive competition.
“The performance of this girls are very beautiful. The state government doesn’t come to our aid and to assist us. I don’t know,” Linus told nigeriafootball.ng exclusively.
“This girls, I picked them from the villages. You could see that, they are raw. They have not been exposed to anywhere. This is their first time of expose to such a football competition.”
The veteran gaffer stated the players have gained knowledge on the pains of defeat as the club would strategize on improving its status in women’s football.
“They have learnt that to lose a match is so painful and to win a match is so beautiful. We are going to go back to the board and see how it will help us progress in future.”
