By Wale Mustapha

Nasarawa Amazons Technical Adviser, Christopher Danjuma, has predicted a tough encounter as his side prepares to face Edo Queens in the Matchday Five fixtures of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) on Wednesday.

The Lafia-based team will travel to Benin City to take on the Benin girls at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, with both sides eager to continue their strong starts to the season.

Danjuma, however, remains confident in his team’s ability to handle the challenge.

“We are in Benin to win. I know it’s going to be tough, but we are equal to the task. The whole crew and my girls are highly motivated,” said the Nasarawa Amazons boss.

Currently sitting in second place on the Group B table with nine points, Nasarawa Amazons are looking to extend their unbeaten run, while Edo Queens, with eight points, will be aiming to close the gap and leapfrog their opponents.

The highly anticipated fixture promises to deliver thrilling action as both sides battle for supremacy in the ongoing NWFL season.
