NWFL Premiership: ‘It’s a good game but not a good result’ – Robo Queens’ Osahon

By Monsurah Olatunji
Head coach of FC Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon believes his side had a good game and deserve all maximum points after his Lagos based side were held to a goalless draw at home by as Nasarawa Amazons in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership encounter on Wednesday.
The Lagos Landladies went into the contest in search of their first win of the season after losing 1-0 their opening fixture away at Aba to Abia Angels but unable to convert any of their goalscoring chances.
Speaking during post-match conference, Osahon is undetered by their slow start to the new campaign as he is confident in his team to turn things around and qualify for this season’s Super Six.
“I wish every match officiating in the league would be like today’s especially when we play away,” he said.
“Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying the officials are bad but today we witnessed a very fair officiating in general but we failed to convert our chances.” he added.
When asked on how he plans to work on the team’s conversion ability, the gaffer explained that his girls are distracted and he is more than ready to help them stay focused and pick enough points to qualify for the big stage.
“Some of the players are distracted as they focus more on traveling abroad and hence avoiding injury, but it is something we can work on together as a team and I promise the fans will see changes in our next game.”
The Lagos-based Queens will welcome Edo Queens next week in quest for their first win of the season.
