NWFL Premiership Matchday Three: FC Robo, Edo Queens and Rivers Angels Maintain Winning Momentum

Matchday Three of the 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership kicked off on Wednesday with seven fixtures across various centres, producing important wins, tight contests, and notable early-season form from several teams.

Edo Queens continued their impressive start to the season with a 1-0 away victory over Ekiti Queens in Ado Ekiti.
Atume Doosuur, who netted last week’s winner against Heartland Queens, once again proved decisive as her goal separated both sides.

Adamawa Queens also secured their second win of the campaign with a 1-0 triumph over Ibom Angels. Ifeoma Damian struck in the 16th minute, ensuring the hosts maintained their unbeaten start to the season.

Pacesetter Queens suffered their third consecutive defeat following a 2-1 loss to Rivers Angels in Ibadan.

Grace Saliu put Rivers Angels ahead in the 2nd minute.
Teslimot Balogun equalised for Pacesetter in the 28th minute. Ramotalahi Kareem netted the winner in the 40th minute to seal all three points for Tosan Blankson’s side.

In Lagos, FC Robo Queens maintained their flawless start to the season with a 2-0 victory over Delta Queens.
Second-half goals from Rodiat Yusuf and Tosin Rafiu sealed another commanding performance for the Lagos Landladies.

Remo Stars Ladies registered a solid 2-0 win over Confluence Queens in Iyamho.
Khadijat Anifowoshe and Similoluwa Okesiji delivered the goals to secure the Lady Sky Blues’ second win of the season.

In Umuahia, Abia Angels grabbed their first victory of the campaign with a 2-0 win over Heartland Queens.
First-half strikes from Winner David and Blessing Okon were enough to earn the hosts a vital three points.

Nasarawa Amazons impressed on the road with a 2-0 victory over debutants Ahudiyaannem Queens.
Ohunene Sunday and Peace Ikediuba found the back of the net to complete a dominant outing for the visitors.
