NWFL rejects Club Owners Association’s unverified elections

The Nigeria Girls Soccer League has expressed shock on the letter written by the Membership House owners Affiliation, dated July 22, to tell the Secretariat of the Nigeria Girls Soccer League on their purported elective assembly on July 21.

In a letter signed by the NWFL Chief Working Officer, Modupe Shabi, to the Chairperson of Delta Queens Soccer Membership of Asaba, responding to the letter titled Re: Introduction of recent Govt Council members of the NWFL Membership House owners Affiliation, reads: “I’ve been directed by the Chairperson of the Nigeria Girls Soccer League to tell you that, the method of elections into workplace of the Govt Council of the Membership House owners Affiliation of the NWFL, as you might be conscious contains notification of the NWFL Secretariat, in order that it could actually carry out its statutory proper to observe the method and conduct of the election

Please be aware that NWFL has no proof that the election of the Govt Council of the NWFL that you just reportedly held adopted this course of.”

The letter continued: “The NWFL refers you to the method that produced the Govt Council that was duly elected in Enugu in 2020. The NWFL monitored and supervised that election and the Govt Council from the Enugu election is the one the NWFL recognises till the due strategy of conducting a correct election is adopted and the NWFL notified to observe the method.

“Settle for the assurances of our regards,” the letter signed by Shabi,additional added.
