Obafemi Martins’ son joins AC Monza from Inter Milan

Italian Serie A outfit, AC Monza have confirmed the signing of Kevin Maussi Martins from Inter Milan youth team.
The 18-year-old forward spent five years in the youth set up at Inter Milan and has featured for the age grade Italian national team.
The signing and arrival of the 18-year old son of former Nigeria international Obafemi Martins was announced on the club’s official website, and further revealed that the youngster has made his first appearance for the youth setup.
“First professional contract for striker born in 2005 Kevin Maussi Martins, who made his debut with AC Monza in the #primavera 2-0 victory over Padova!,” the post reads.
Known for his speed and amazing goal celebrations during his playing days, Obafemi Martins was nicknamed Obagoal and Kevin will hope to emulate his father who was great star when they played for Inter Milan.
He is expected to continue his growth with the Monza youth team but he is also able to play for their first team if called upon.
The youngster is eligible to play for the Nigeria through his father and Italy his country of birth but is yet to decide his international allegiance.
