By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria forward Odion Ighalo has vowed to maintain his fine scoring form to inspire score the needed goals that will propel his team to the top.
The former Watford striker was on target as they thrashed Al Ittifaq 4-0 in their Saudi Cup clash at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium on Wednesday night.
The 33-year-old has now scored eight goals and recorded one assist in 14 appearances across all competitions for the Royals this season.
In the pro-league Al Hilal stayed in the third position with 20 points from 9 games, and Ighalo is of the opinion that as far he continues banging in the goals and winning important points, they will end the season on a high.
“Hopefully, I will keep on doing my best in helping my team to win games,” he said.
Al Hllal will now shift attention to the defense of their Saudi League title when they travel away to Al Nassr next week Monday.
