OFFICIAL: Brighton sign Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie

By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The Super Falcons star will officially join the English side on July 1, following the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.

Nnadozie, 24, leaves the French capital after a stellar four-year spell, making 118 appearances for Paris FC.

She carved her name into the club’s history books with a heroic performance in the 2025 Coupe de France Féminine final, where she saved two penalties against Paris Saint-Germain to clinch the title.

Between 2022 and 2025, the Nigerian shot-stopper also featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, earning plaudits for her consistency and composure on the continental stage.

Her standout displays in the 2024 season saw her scoop both the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season and the D1 Arkema Best Goalkeeper of the Season awards.

In doing so, Nnadozie became the first African player to win the prestigious UNFP accolade — a landmark moment for African representation in European women’s football.

As she begins a new chapter in England, Nnadozie’s focus will briefly return to international duty.

She is expected to feature in Nigeria’s friendly against Ghana before the Super Falcons travel to Morocco in pursuit of a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
