OFFICIAL: Enyimba sign Nigeria international Daniel Daga on loan for AFL challenge

Nigerian champions, Enyimba have completed a season loan signing of talented youth international, Daniel Daga from FC One Rocket.

Daga who shone to limelight at the U20 national team level have since went through successful medicals with the People’s Elephants in readiness for new football season.

The 16-year-old Daga caught the attention of football world during the WAFU U20 tourney which the team won. He sustained injury after on and had a bit part outing at the AFCON U20 tourney.

He was later declared fit for the FIFA U20 World Cup, where he impressed well with the Flying Eagles, reaching the quarterfinal of the competition in Argentina.

Daga is expected to feature in the inaugural African Football League, (AFL) for Enyimba in what will be his first taste of competitive football at the club.

The youngster attracted interest from multiple European sides since the World Cup performances, but his age leaves him unable to make a move to a foreign club until he turns 18.

He was on loan to Dakkada FC in the Nigeria Premier Footbal League last season but hardly featured due to injury and international commitments.
