OFFICIAL: Tino Anjorin joins Torino on loan ahead of new Serie A season

By Dayo Awoniyi

Nigerian-eligible forward Tino Anjorin has completed a loan move to Torino from Empoli, ahead of the 2025/26 Serie A season.

The 22-year-old attacker, who came through the youth system at Chelsea FC, impressed during his stint with Empoli last season, registering two goals and three assists in 22 league appearances. His performances drew attention from several top-flight Italian clubs, including AS Roma and Fiorentina, but it was Torino who secured his services.

Anjorin’s loan deal includes a mandatory purchase clause that will see Torino complete a permanent transfer next summer for a reported €4.5 million. The move is regarded as a strategic addition to Torino’s attacking options as they prepare for the new campaign.

Club officials believe Anjorin’s versatility, technical ability, and experience in Serie A will inject fresh energy into the squad and increase competition for places. With a full pre-season under his belt, Anjorin is expected to play a key role in Torino’s push for a top-half finish in the upcoming season.

Anjorin is eligible to represent Nigeria at international level and remains on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation, although he has featured for England at various youth levels.
