Ogunmodede reflects on Nigeria role: ‘Deeply honoured’ by Super Eagles post

Daniel Ogunmodede, the Technical Adviser of Remo Stars, has expressed his profound excitement and honor at having served with the national team.
Ogunmodede was appointed as an assistant to interim Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen, working alongside Enugu Rangers’ Fidelis Ilechukwu during the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Under Ogunmodede’s involvement, the Super Eagles secured a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and managed a 0-0 draw with Rwanda. After his stint with the national team, Ogunmodede has returned to focus on his role with Remo Stars.
He took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his feelings about his national team experience, saying, “I am deeply honored to have answered the call to serve our beloved country. Let’s remain positive and united in our pursuit of success… together, we can be better.”
Ogunmodede now shifts his focus back to club duties, where he will lead Remo Stars in their South West derby against Sunshine Stars on Saturday.
