Ola Aina stars as Nottingham Forest unveil new adidas away kit
Nigeria international Ola Aina has helped launch Nottingham Forest’s new adidas away kit for the 2026/27 season.
The defender was involved in the unveiling of the strip, which Forest presented on their official website on Saturday. The club said the design draws on its history and will be worn by its men’s, women’s and Academy teams during the forthcoming campaign.
“Nottingham Forest is delighted to reveal its adidas Away Kit for the 2026/27 season,” the club stated.
“The new kit sees the return of the adidas trefoil and reflects the rich heritage of Nottingham Forest, with the collegiate green colour paying homage to the Club’s name.
“Featuring an all-over printed graphic with the embroidered trefoil logo and iconic three stripes, the shirt includes collar and cuff piping, bringing dynamic, tailored style to the forefront.
“Collegiate green shorts and socks complete the 2026/27 Away Kit, which will be worn by Forest Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams.
“Supporters will see the new kit in action for the first time this evening (8 August) when Forest compete in the inaugural Friuli Venezia Giulia tournament, where Oliver Glasner’s side will take on Udinese Calcio and FC Barcelona at the Bluenergy Stadium.”
The kit features an all-over printed graphic, an embroidered adidas trefoil and the brand’s traditional three stripes. Collar and cuff piping have also been incorporated into the design, while the matching collegiate green shorts and socks complete the outfit.
Forest’s first opportunity to wear the new colours will come in the inaugural Friuli Venezia Giulia tournament on 8 August. Oliver Glasner’s side are scheduled to face both Udinese Calcio and FC Barcelona at the Bluenergy Stadium.
Aina made 18 Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest last season and provided one assist.
He joined the club on 22 July 2023 after being released by Torino, signing a one-year contract. The Nigeria international made his Forest debut in a 2-1 Premier League defeat by Arsenal on 12 August.
His first goal for the club came on 5 November that year, when Forest beat Aston Villa 2-0 at the City Ground.
On 21 May 2024, Nottingham Forest confirmed that they had activated a one-year extension in Aina’s contract. He later scored his first Premier League goal of the 2024-25 season for the club in a 3-0 home victory over West Ham on 2 November. That result lifted Forest to third in the league.
Aina agreed a further extension on 7 July 2025, keeping him at Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2028.
He has also been recognised in connection with his previous club, winning Fulham’s Goal of the Season award.
