Nigeria forward Olanrewaju Kayode rolled back the years with a commanding display as he struck twice in Erokspor’s emphatic 4–1 victory over Hatayspor in the Turkish Lig 1.
The 31-year-old striker, who previously featured in the Turkish Super Lig with Sivasspor and Gaziantep, needed just eight minutes to make his mark, firing home the opener.
He later sealed the win in the 71st minute, capping off Erokspor’s four-goal haul and taking his personal tally to three goals this campaign.
Kayode’s experience and sharp finishing continue to make him a vital figure in Erokspor’s promotion push, providing both leadership and a clinical edge in the frontline.
Hatayspor’s only response came through former Golden Eaglets winger Funsho Bamgboye, who found the net but could not spark a comeback.
The victory lifts Erokspor to third place in the standings with 10 points from five matches, just two adrift of leaders Çorum.
The result not only preserves their strong early-season momentum but also underlines their credentials as genuine contenders for promotion to the Turkish topflight.
