Onyi Echegini set to complete switch to Juventus after studies in America

Nigeria midfielder, Onyi Echegini is set to complete a switch from Florida State University to Italian side, Juventus, NigeriaFootball.ng understand.

Echegini had a breakout World Cup with Nigeria, and looks set to join Juventus in a few weeks after her studies at Florida State are finished according to Italian journalist, Mauro Munno.

Juventus is looking to beef up their team as AS Roma continue dominance over the Old Ladies in the league and Europe.

She recently emerged as the ACC Offensive Player of the Year and became the fifth player in Florida State University (FSU) history to win ACC Offensive Player of the Year.

The Super Falcons players put together another terrific season for the Seminoles as she led the conference with 11 goals, five of which came against top-ranked opponents as well as three assists.

The 22-year-old became the first Seminole to win an ACC Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks.

The player was also named to the All-ACC First Team for the first time in her career.

Her two goals in the final of the ACC Championship lifted her team to victory.
