Ordega at the double as CSKA Moscow upend FK Rostov

Nigeria international Francesca Ordega scored a brace as her Russian women top-flight side, CSKA Moscow defeated FK Rostov 3-0 on Saturday.
Ordega who had scored five league goals before Saturday’s game, opened the scoring for CSKA Moscow in the 29th minute during the Russian Supreme Division Women Championship group game.
The goal boosted the confidence of CSKA Moscow and propelled the team to surge forward for the second goal.
Incessant pressure from CSKA Moscow yielded another profitable venture in the 36th minute as Serbian midfielder, Nevena Damjanovic converted the second goal of the game.
Still unperturbed with the two goals lead, CSKA Moscow searched for the third to seal the game in the second half.
With five minutes to the end of the encounter, Francisca Ordega scored the third goal for her side.
The brace took Ordega’s goal tally in the league this season to seven in six games for the former Levante, Washington Spirit, Atletico Madrid, Sydney, and Pitea IF player.
CSKA Moscow occupy the second position on the Russian Supreme Division Women Championship group table with 24 points, eight points behind Zenit and two points better than holders, Lokomotiv Moscow.
The team will next face holders and Macleans Chinonyerem’s Lokomotiv Moscow on October 15 after the international break during which Nigeria will play Japan but Ordega won’t join the Nigerian team for the trip.
Besides Ordega, Russia-based forward Chinonyerem did also not make the squad list for the international friendly against the Japanese billed to be played at the Noevir Stadium, Kobe on Thursday, 6th October.
