Osimhen makes UEFA Champions League Team of the Week after Galatasaray heroics

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week for Matchday Four, following his outstanding display for Galatasaray on Wednesday night.

Osimhen produced a five-star performance to inspire Galatasaray to a 3–0 victory over Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena, scoring twice and assisting once in a dominant showing that sealed a memorable win for the Turkish side.

The 26-year-old forward now leads the Champions League scoring chart with six goals, underlining his status as one of Europe’s most in-form strikers.

Osimhen features in the star-studded Team of the Week alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Merino and Manchester City’s Phil Foden, who also impressed for their clubs.

Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was named between the posts after his stellar performance in Bayern Munich’s away win over Paris Saint-Germain.
