By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria international Deborah Abiodun has expressed appreciation towards fans following her debut Olympic Games outing.

The Super Falcons midfielder played all three matches as Nigeria crashed out of the group stages.

Randy Waldrum’s team suffered 1-0 losses against Brazil and Spain before succumbing to a 3-1 loss to Japan.

Despite the disappointing results, the 20-year-old was hailed for her standout performance.

Reflecting on her time at the Olympics, Deborah expressed happiness to be able to represent Nigeria at such a high level.

“Every second I spend doing what I love doing most is always a priceless moment for me,” the Pittsburgh Panthers midfielder posted on X.

“Grateful to be able to represent myself, Family, Teammates and Nation at the Olympics.

“Being called an OLYMPIAN Means so much to me, Thank you, everyone, for your support.’
