Paris 2024 Olympic: Predicted Nigeria lineup vs Japan

In a deciding encounter, Nigeria’s senior women’s national team take on Japan in the final Group C tie in Nantes on Wednesday.
knowing that a win by two goal margin or more will brighten their chances of progressing to the quarter final.
Chiamaka Nnadozie, Michelle Alozie, Chidinma Okeke, Oluwatosin Demehin, Osinachi Ohale, Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne, Deborah Abiodun, Rasheedat Ajibade, Jennifer Echegini, and Chinwendu Ihezuo started the opening 1-0 loss to Brazil.
Coach Randy Waldrum made two changes in the second 1-0 loss to world champions Spain as Asisat Oshoala and Esther Okoronkwo replaced Ihezuo and Echegini respectively.
Ahead of the game on Wednesday, Waldrum is expected to stick with goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and the back four comprising Alozie, Okeke, Demehin, and Ohale.
Ucheibe, Payne, Abiodun, and Ajibade which started the last two games are also expected to start.
Oshoala who added more bight to the team upfront should also start while the University of Pittsburgh gaffer might give Macleans Chinonyerem the chance due to the search for that crucial and elusive win since 2004 at the Olympics.
The likes of Echegini, Ihezuo, and Okoronkwo can have their chances if introduced in the second half to redeem themselves from past missed chances.
