Paris 2024 Qualifiers: Ajara and Onguene headline Cameroon squad against Nigeria

Head coach of Cameron senior women’s national team, Jean Baptiste Bisseck has released the final list of 23 players that will face Nigeria in the two-legged third round qualifying encounter for Paris 2024 Olympics.

Three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and six attackers made the squad that saw Saudi Arabia-based, Nchout Ajara Njoya and Russian-based Aboudi Onguene Gabrielle headline the roster.

Former Rivers Angels midfielder, Omboudou Brigitte who now plays for Hakarigucu Spor in Turkey made the list.

14 foreign-based joined nine home-based professionals drawn from the two preparation camps to make the 23-woman roster.

In 2012, the Indominitable Lionesses halted Nigeria’s ever-present feat at the Summer Olympic for the first time and the Central Africans will aiming to replicate the feat to possibly revenge their 2022 Wafcon quarterfinal defeat.

The first leg of the encounter is billed to take place in Douala on February 23, 2024, while the return leg will take place in Abuja three days later.

Either South Africa or Tanzania awaits the winners of the two-legged tie in the ticket deciding fourth round.
