Nigerian midfielder Peace Efih has expressed her excitement after completing a permanent transfer to Greek Women’s A Division club Panathinaikos, describing the move as a fresh and exciting chapter in her career.
The experienced midfielder is eager to play her part in the club’s ambitions and help Panathinaikos challenge for domestic honours in the new season.
“I am very excited to have signed with Panathinaikos. I look forward to scoring many goals and helping the team achieve its main goal, which is winning the championship. I can’t wait to get started,” Efih told the club’s official website.
Efih joins Panathinaikos from fellow Greek side OFI Crete, where she impressed during her time at the club.
The midfielder began her professional career with former Nigeria Women Football League champions Rivers Angels before moving to Bayelsa Queens.
She has subsequently gained valuable experience across Europe, representing Sporting de Huelva and Zaragoza CFF in Spain, Kiryat Gat in Israel, and Braga in Portugal.
With her wealth of experience and quality in midfield, Panathinaikos will hope Efih can provide an important boost as they pursue the Greek Women’s A Division title.

Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
