Peseiro hands late call-up to Okoye for Nigeria’s tests with Saudi Arabia and Mozambique

Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is the latest Nigerian player to be handed an emergency invitation for the Super Eagles’ friendlies against Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Coach Jose Peseiro has being limbo over the goalkeeping department as two of the three invited keepers in Enyimba’s Ojo Olorunleke and Dele Adeleye who plies his trade in Isreal are unlikely to make the team due to exigencies.

The Portuguese coach, however invited Okoye to join the team in Portugal as he will be back up to Francis Uzoho.

Two players have arrived in camp as at the first day while three others are expected later on Wednesday.

Nigeria will be taking on the Saudis on Friday at Familicao by 5pm while the encounter against the Mambas of Mozambique will be held on Monday at the same venue.
