Plateau United Chairman Denies Official Logo Rebranding

Plateau United Chairman, Mallam Alhassan Yakmut, has dismissed reports that the club has officially rebranded its logo, describing the development as controversial.

Yakmut said he was not aware of any approved decision to change the club’s emblem and would not comment further until he meets with Plateau State Governor to ascertain whether the reported rebranding received the necessary clearance.

“That logo thing is still controversial because I am not aware of it. I don’t want to make any comments until I see the governor to confirm if he gave the clearance,” Yakmut stated.

His comments have cast fresh uncertainty over reports of a new logo for the Jos-based club, with Plateau United yet to officially confirm the adoption of a redesigned emblem.

Further clarification is expected following Yakmut’s meeting with the state governor, which could determine whether approval was granted for the reported rebranding.
