By Wale Mustapha
General Manager of Heartland, Promise Nwachukwu has disclosed that securing a continental ticket for the Owerri based club is top of his targets in the forthcoming Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
Nwachukwu, who disclosed this via Radio on Tuesday noted that the club intend to repeat feat that earn them success in the National League where they went through the season unbeaten.
The veteran football administrator also revealed that the team would be having a Thanksgiving service at a famous spiritual ground ‘E-De Work Adoration Ground’ to rededicate the team ahead of the 2023/2024 NPFL season.
“When we were about to start the NNL, I told Imolites that the league was operation bring Heartland FC back to the premier league which finally we have done,” Nwachukwu told media.
“This time around what the Imolites should see is operation get a continental ticket for Heartland FC.
“I’m not a Catholic, I’m an Anglican. The first time I went to E-De Work Adoration Ground, I went there with faith and can tell you that all the things we prayed for happened. I don’t joke with that place. It can only be God that made us to achieve what we did.
“This time around, before the league kick starts again, we will go back to that place and thank God. We are planning to do that soon.”
