The Queens Cup Southwest Preseason Tournament Matchday Two produced thrilling encounters and a total of 15 goals, with dramatic wins as the competition inches closer to the decisive group stage finale.

Robo Queens and Pacesetter Queens bounced back with their first victories of the campaign after opening-day defeats, while Dannaz Ladies and Remo Stars Ladies continued their impressive runs, maintaining perfect records in the competition.

Dannaz Ladies 3–0 DreamStar Ladies

Tohibat Abdulazeez, Fatimoh Solaty, and Zainab Raji were the heroes for Dannaz Ladies as they swept aside DreamStar Ladies with a commanding 3–0 win.

Tohibat opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a fine strike before Solaty doubled the Cedars’ advantage just a minute later. Raji sealed the result in the 36th minute to put the game beyond DreamStar’s reach. Despite several chances in the second half, no further goals were recorded.

Robo Queens 6–0 Wazbak Queens

Robo Queens roared back from their opening-day loss to Remo Stars Ladies, crushing Wazbak Queens 6–0 in a one-sided contest.

Star forward Mariam Yahaya was unstoppable, netting five goals, while captain Kemi Adegbuyi added another to complete the rout. Yahaya’s pace and precision proved too much for the Wazbak defense throughout the encounter.

Phoenix Queens 0–3 Remo Stars Ladies

Remo Stars Ladies continued their dominant form with a 3–0 victory over Phoenix Queens, extending their perfect record in the competition.

An early opener from Kehinde Deborah in the 4th minute set the tone, before winger Simi Okesiji doubled the advantage in the 22nd minute. Midfielder Cynthia Mega added a third in the 59th minute to cap off a composed performance by the Sky Blue Ladies.

Nakamura FA 1–2 Pacesetter Queens

Nakamura FA took an early lead in the 15th minute through Ibitayo Adeniyi, finishing off a brilliant team move. However, Pacesetter Queens rallied back to snatch a comeback win.

Pempe Fidelis leveled matters in the 34th minute before Faith Jaiyeola struck the decisive goal in the 70th minute to hand the 3SC Ladies their first victory of the tournament.

The Queens Cup Southwest Preseason Tournament continues with the final group-stage games, as teams battle for a place in the knockout rounds and a chance to make history in this maiden edition.
