Viktoria Plzen manager Miroslav Koubek has heaped praise on Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi after his outstanding performance in the team’s 2-0 victory over Teplice on Sunday.
Durosinmi, 22, scored a sensational brace, marking his triumphant return to action with a Man of the Match performance after a long and frustrating period on the sidelines due to injuries.
“He is a striker of extraordinary quality. He will help Plzen when he reaches the level he had before the injury,” Koubek told the club’s media.
Koubek highlighted the interest Durosinmi had attracted from Bundesliga clubs, praising his vast array of strengths. “If I had to list his strengths that sparked that interest, there would be countless. Everyone can see how great a player he is.”
The Plzen boss expressed satisfaction with Durosinmi’s fitness progress, with the forward completing a solid 60-minute shift. “I think he did well in today’s 60 minutes, which will move him forward,” Koubek added.
Durosinmi’s success against Teplice gives Viktoria Plzen renewed hope as they continue to challenge for top spots in the Czech Liga.
With confidence now firmly restored, Durosinmi looks to maintain his form in the upcoming UEFA Europa League playoff second leg against Ferencváros.
