Rasheedat Ajibade cherishes meeting with Osun Gov Ademola Adeleke

Nigeria forward, Rasheedat Ajibade is excited following her official meeting with the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke after their ouster from the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons playmaker was a prominent figure at the 2023 Women’s World Cup and played a crucial part in the team’s progression to the knockout stage before crashing out at the expense of England in penalty shootout.

Ajibade appreciated the reception bestowed upon her by Governor Adeleke and revealed she will cherish the moment forever in her career. she gave the governor a customized Atletico Madrid jersey as a small gesture towards his unwavering support for the growth of football in Osun State.

“I am beyond thankful for the incredible reception by the esteemed Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State. This experience was not just an honor for me as a Nigerian footballer, but also a cherished memory that will forever hold a special place in my heart,” Ajibade wrote on her official Facebook handle.

“During our meeting, I had the privilege of presenting Governor Adeleke with one of my jerseys, as well as a customized jersey bearing his name and number. These tokens were a small gesture of appreciation for his unwavering support towards the growth and development of sports in our beloved nation.”

The former Robo Queens midfielder, expresses appreciation to her teammates and the relevant stakeholders who made the visit to Osun State a reality as she vows to inspire the next upcoming athletes in the country through football.
