Rasheedat Ajibade: Nigeria striker joins FIFpro’s Global Player Council

Nigeria international Rasheedat Ajibade is the newest addition to the FIFpro Global Player Council, an organization that supports the efforts of players in talks concerning international issues.
On Wednesday, FIFPRO announced Ajibade’s appointment alongside two other players – Enez Mango (Farul Constanta/Kenya) and Marshall Munetsi (Reims/Zimbabwe) – on its Twitter page on Wednesday.
The new appointments, bring the total number of players on the council to 34 and the former FC Robo Queens captain and Atletico Madrid forward is excited about the opportunity to represent fellow footballers globally.
“It’s important that the voices of players are heard,” said Nigeria forward Ajibade.
“I’m looking forward to using my platform to help players in Africa and beyond.”
On her part, Mango stated the reason why she joined the council, saying: “Players should be consulted and have a say when it comes to decisions that affect our job. I’ve joined FIFPRO’s Global Player Council in order to make a difference.”
Meanwhile,  France based Warriors Midfielder Marshall Munetsi became the first Zimbabwean to be added to the council.
“Being a part of the Global Player Council means we can help footballers worldwide – such as protecting players against fake agents, or against government interference. I’m eager to get started,” said Reims’ Zimbabwean midfielder Munetsi.
