By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Paris Saint-Germain Féminines extended their fine start to the season with a 5-2 victory over Nantes at the Parc des Princes on Saturday, with Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade registering her first assist for the club.

Maureen Cosson’s own goal put the hosts ahead in the 6th minute. Romee Leuchter doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Ajibade then made her mark, delivering a precise cross for Merveille Kanjinga to head home in the 40th minute — her first assist in PSG colours.

In the closing stages, PSG pulled clear as Griedge Mbock (82’) and Florianne Jourde (87’) struck to make it 5-1.

Nantes grabbed late consolations through Cosson (83’) and Machart Rabanne (90+4’), but the points had long been secured.

Ajibade registered her first PSG assist, and featured prominently in attack.

Jennifer Echegini played the full match, showing composure and control in midfield.
