Red-hot Victor Boniface reiterates Union Saint Gilloise loyalty after Europa exploits

By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria forward, Victor Boniface has denied any offer linking him to another club in the summer as he dedicates his immediate future to inspiring Union SG to European success this season.
The Union SG striker has been in blistering form in the UEFA Europa League as he leads the scorers chart with six goals in nine matches, after opening the scoring in his side’s first leg 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 22-year-old forward reflected on the difficult contest, while setting his sights on the return leg in Brussels.
“We knew it would be a difficult match, so we are happy with the draw. We can be proud that we are already there, against a very strong team. But now we are looking forward to the return match in Brussels,” he told media.
“I don’t know anything about any interest, I’m hearing it for the first time now. I’m not working on it either, I’m focusing on Union.”
Union SG are second in the Belgian Pro League with 69 points from 32 matches and trail league leaders Genk by three points.
The Les Unionistes Union will trade tackles with RFC Seraing on Sunday 16 April.
