Regina Otu: Nigeria midfielder pens two-year deal with Fenerbahce

Midfielder Regina Otu has joined Turkish women’s top-flight side, Fenerbahce, ahead of the 2024/2024 season.

The 28-year-old Super Falcons player signed a two-year deal with Fenerbahce after departing French outfit, Saint Etienne at the end of last season.

Her contract was not extended at the end of last season after helping Saint Etienne return to the French top flight.

She played for Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Rivers Angels before moving abroad.

Her first team outside Nigeria was FK Minsk in Belarus, where she played alongside compatriot Onome Ebi.

From FK Minsk, Otu joined Saint Etienne and spent two seasons with the team both in the French D1 Arkema and the women’s D2 (second division).

She joined a list of Nigerian players in the Turkish women’s league.

Others include Glory Ogbonna (Besiktas), Blessing Nkor (Asya), Alice Ogebe (Anyalyaspor), Oladiti Bola (Adana Idmanyurd), Mary Ologbosere (Hakkarigucu Spor).
