Remo Stars big win against 3SC surprises Nduka Junior

Remo Stars skipper, Nduka Junior was surprised with his club’s heavy defeat inflicted on Shooting Stars in Eket.

The Sky Blue Stars continued their dominance over 3SC with a 3-0 win in the recent South West derby at the Naija Super Eight competition.

Junior expressed amazement with Remo Stars dominance over 3SC and believes competitive fitness gave them an edge over the Oluyole Warriors.

“I am not surprised that ever since that it’s been proclaimed the Southwest derby, it’s either we win or draw,” he told by Sport247.

“The goal margin wasn’t really expected because in a normal Southwest derby, I was thinking of a narrow 1-0, 2-1 win or probably share the spoils but that’s that with that big victory for us.

“We just finished playing the Super Six and we have been on competitive games while they have been on break since the league ended, we partook in the NPFL championship play-offs but they had rested so we had that advantage over them.”

The Sky Blue Stars have qualified for the main tournament of the Naija Super Eight in Lagos.
