Remo Stars boss Kunle Soname hails NNL board on rapid improvement

35 players to Nigeria women’s national team for the 2024 Africa Nations Championship, (CHAN) qualifiers against Ghana resumed camp in preparation for the encounter. 

The players under the tutelage of Coach Augustine Eguavoen and his assistants had their first training session at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch, Abuja on Wednesday

They underwent light physical training and tactical drills as they geared up for the crucial encounter.

35 players had been invited for the qualifiers against the Black Stars for a place in the tournament proper. 

Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg between 20th-22nd December, 2024, while the return leg will hold in Nigeria a week later.

The winner over two legs will earn a slot at the CHAN 2025 which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The CHAN is set aside for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic league.
