By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Nigeria and Remo Stars defender, Sodiq Ismail is set to complete a switch to FK Partizani in Albania.
A medical examination is planned for this week when the right back arrives in Albania.
The Super Eagles defender will ink a three-year contract.
He has scored three goals so far this season for the Sky Blue Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
A key member of Daniel Ogunmodede’s squad as the team consistently finished in the top three positions in the NPFL for the past three seasons.
His impressive number of assists has earned him a call-up to the national team.
The defender also scored the opener as Nigeria Team B side defeated Ghana 3-1 on aggregate last weekend to qualify for the 2024 Championship of Africa Nations (CHAN) taking place this year.
The intending move meant Nigeria will miss a key player ahead of this year’s CHAN as the team made a return to the tournament for the first time since 2018 in Morocco.
