Remo Stars Ladies dominate NWFL Premiership First Stanza Best XI

Four players from Remo Stars Ladies made the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Best XI for the first stanza.

The league unveiled 11 players which made the Team of the First Stanza after seven games and ahead of the second stanza.

Remo Stars goalkeeper Charlotte Adjei, alongside her teammates Akudo Ogbonna, Opeyemi Sunday, and Bolaji Olamide, made the cut.

Olamide ended the first stanza as the league leading goal scorer with nine goals.

She has also scored in all seven league games.

Remo Stars Ladies is one of the four unbeaten teams in the league alongside Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Edo Queens.

The team also has the highest winning percentage in the league, with the least number of goals conceded alongside Edo Queens (3).

Other players who made the Best XI are Oladeji Oluwabunmi (Naija Ratels), Goodness Osigwe (Edo Queens), Vera Samuel (Bayelsa Queens), Mary Moses (Rivers Angels), Emem Essien (Edo Queens), Peace Effiong (Rivers Angels), and Mary Lucky (Abia Angels).

These exceptional players have made their mark with outstanding performances.

Remo Stars Ladies coach, Wemimo Mathew was named the coach of the first stanza.
