Rivers Angels thrash Sporting Angels 10-0 to retain Rivers State FA Cup

President FA Cup champions, Rivers Angels have regained the 2025 Rivers State FA Cup after a 10-0 bashing of Sporting Angels in the grand finale on Saturday.

Former Sunshine Stars player, Taiwo Aganmuyi scored three goals to propel the Jewels of Rivers to a comprehensive win.

Chidera Okenwa added two goals, while Nana Yusuf also scored a brace for the Port Harcourt-based side.

Taiwo Ajibade, Azeezat Oluwole, and Aminat Folorunsho scored a goal each for the seven-time Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) winners.

Rivers Angels and Sporting Angels will represent Rivers State at the 2024 President Federation Cup.

Tosan Blankson’s side have been unbeaten in their seven league games ahead of this big win.

They edged Naija Ratels 1-0 to win the 2024 President Federation Cup title and will defend their title when the national Cup tournament gets underway.
