Rivers United gives reasons for engaging George Finidi as Technical Manager

Rivers United have revealed that experience and expertise necessitated their decision to appoint George Finidi as their new Technical Manager.
Finidi signed a two-year deal with the Port Harcourt based club on Wednesday.
In a statement posted on the club’s website, Rivers United believed that Finidi will give the club the needed technical impetus and turn around the club’s fortune.
“Finidi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having had a distinguished playing career spanning over fifteen years,” the statement read.
“As a coach, Finidi has demonstrated his ability to lead teams to success, and we are confident that he will bring his expertise and passion to our club. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to a successful tenure under his leadership,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
Finidi will be presented to the media and club supporters at the Sharks Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Thursday.
Rivers United finished eight in the just concluded Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
