By Wale Mustapha

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian international Ademola Lookman as part of their plans to strengthen the squad ahead of next season.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners have added the Atalanta forward to their summer transfer shortlist as Mikel Arteta seeks to reinforce his attacking options in a bid to challenge for domestic and European honours.

Lookman, 26, has been in outstanding form this season for the Serie A side, netting 19 goals and providing seven assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

His performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, with Arsenal now emerging as a potential destination.

The former Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City winger brings valuable Premier League experience and versatility, qualities Arteta is reportedly keen to add to his forward line.

Lookman is expected to leave Atalanta at the end of the current campaign, ending a three-year spell under manager Gian Piero Gasperini.

With his proven track record and dynamic playing style, he could be a key addition to Arsenal’s ambitions for the 2025 season.
