Rumour Mills: Atalanta raise asking price for Ademola Lookman

By Wale Mustapha

Atalanta have reportedly increased their asking price for Nigerian striker, Ademola Lookman, to €60 million, following a series of impressive performances this season.

The Super Eagles forward, who still has two years remaining on his contract with the Serie A club, has become a highly sought-after player, and Atalanta are ready to cash in on their star winger.

Originally, Atalanta was willing to sell Lookman for €50 million, but with interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea, the club has raised its asking price.

Lookman joined Atalanta from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig three years ago and has since become a key player for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

In 109 appearances, he has scored 50 goals and provided 21 assists, showcasing his growing importance and value to the club.

As the transfer window approaches, Lookman’s future at Atalanta is now surrounded by uncertainty, with several top clubs closely monitoring his situation.
