Rumour Mills: Nottingham Forest weigh Emmanuel Dennis contract termination

By Oluwadamilola Olaleye

Nottingham Forest are reportedly considering a mutual contract termination with Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis, as both parties seek a resolution before the close of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old joined Forest from Watford in 2023 after a standout season with the Hornets, where he registered 10 goals and six assists in 33 Premier League appearances despite their relegation.

However, his spell at the City Ground has been far less productive, hampered by injuries and limited opportunities.

Dennis has featured in just 19 league games for the Reds — the majority coming from the bench — and has since endured a series of loan spells, including his most recent stint with Blackburn Rovers last season.

With playing time scarce under successive managers, the Super Eagles striker is believed to be keen on a fresh start.

Italian clubs are understood to be monitoring his situation closely, while Saudi Arabia and Turkey also present possible destinations.

Forest officials remain in talks with Dennis and his representatives, with hopes of striking a deal that would allow the forward to reignite his career elsewhere.
