Dannaz Queens’ goalkeeper, Salimot Jimoh has commended her team mates for their wonderful display that earned a win and clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Naija Ratels on Wednesday.
Then newly promoted side brushed aside the Abuja based team led by Super Falcons’ captain, Onome Ebi as Delight Isaac’ brace gave the hosts the needed win to retain their unbeaten start.
Jimoh, who produced Player of the Match performance with her heroic saves said the victory was a reflection of hard work and determination even as she promised an improved version of herself.
“I feel so good because the key point is so amazing. I couldn’t even believe what my teammates did. I just enjoyed the game. Thank God for the three points,” she told NigeriaFootball.ng.
“I already came with the intention of saving all the goals. I was not going to concede and be surprised by any ball at the back of the net.”
Dannaz Ladies have a chance to stretch their unbeaten run to three as they host Nasarawa Amazons next Wednesday in Lagos and Jimoh assures her side are focused on maintaining the momentum.
“With what they are saying, they say Nasarawa Amazons is a formidable team,” she continued.
“So we will work harder for our match with them. We want to make sure we beat them on our home ground. We don’t want to concede any goals. We don’t want to be a disgrace to Lagos State.”
