Former Nigeria coach, Samson Siasia has dismissed racism claims during his playing time.
The FIFA-banned coach who is set to return to coaching was asked if he was ever racially abused during his playing time in Europe.
He explained his perspective, highlighting that the primary focus for clubs was on fielding the best players for team success.
“Maybe some guys went there and they talk about racism and all, I never saw any racism. There wasn’t any racism,” the 2008 Olympic-silver winner told Athlst in an interview.
“All they wanted was good players that can help the team win matches. The problem I had there was the cold, you know, was very, very cold.
“You always let out. You always drink coffee every day. You learn how to drink. That’s how, up till today I always want to drink coffee, the black ones and all that stuff.”
