Two Nigerian players face off when AC Milan and Udinese trade tackles in Matchday eight of the 2024/2024 Italian Serie A match as the former edged the latter 1-0.

A first-half goal from Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze ensured a slim win for AC Milan against Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, San Siro, Milan.

American star, Christian Pulisic set the Super Eagles player up for his first goal of the season against his national team goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye in the 13th minute.

The host played most part of the match with a man down after a red card was issued to Tijjani Reijnders.

It was a hard-fought victory for the former European champions, with Kingsley Ehizibue’s seemingly equalizer for Udinese ruled out for offside by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Chukwueze saw 88 minutes of action before he was replaced by Fikayo Tomori.

Okoye was behind the sticks for the duration of the match.

The victory lifted AC Milan to the fourth position on the table with 14 points after eight league games.

Udinese dropped to sixth position, a point behind their conquerors.

Up next for AC Milan is a home clash against Club Brugge in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League on October 22.

For Udinese, they have Cagliari to battle within the league on October 25.
